Business Visit: Wartrace Martial Arts and Fitness
Today we had the opportunity to learn from Erin Lehman, founder of Wartrace Martial Arts, whose dedication to service and integrity left a lasting impact on our students. Erin works more than 40 hours a week in her full-time career while also leading Wartrace, where she teaches students ranging in age from 4 to 58.
Introduced to martial arts by her father at the age of six, Erin earned her black belt by twelve and has carried those lifelong lessons into her work today. She opened Wartrace as a ministry, reinvesting 100% of the income back into the business and its students. None of the profits go into her personal account, and she ensures that financial barriers never prevent a student from participating.
Rooted in humility, Erin shared that martial arts culture emphasizes service over recognition. Her commitment to honesty, dependability, and consistency has truly set Wartrace apart. In addition, she offers $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who earn their black belts—further reflecting her mission-driven leadership.
Key lessons from today:
• Maintain focus on what matters most to you and your business
• Stay aligned with your core mission and long-term goals
• Establish healthy boundaries with clients and employees
• Use past challenges as learning opportunities
• Consistency builds trust and long-term success
We are grateful for Erin’s transparency and the powerful example she sets of purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
