Class Day!

This morning’s CEO class focused on two powerful lessons to help students prepare for their individual businesses.

We began with Craig Lindvahl’s insight on acknowledgment—the simple but transformative practice of recognizing that things won’t always go as planned. When students acknowledge that challenges and mistakes are part of the process, they’re better equipped to stay calm, adapt, and move forward.

Next, we dove into Doug Villhard’s “Art of the Side Hustle.” Doug walked students through the differences between a true side hustle, a job, and a hobby. He then encouraged them to evaluate their business ideas using his criteria, which sparked meaningful reflection and helped some students gain clarity on their direction.

To wrap up class, students got hands-on with Trello, organizing and prioritizing the tasks needed for their individual ventures. I challenged them to build out their boards now—because once we’re back from Christmas break, we’ll be hitting the ground running!
