Class Day!

Today’s lesson centered around Craig Lindvahl’s powerful life lesson, “Riding the Rapids.” His message reminds us that rough patches are inevitable—moments where you’re unsure if you can push through. But then you do. You come out a little worn, a little humbled, but stronger…and with that rush of exhilaration that fuels you forward. And just like in life, once you celebrate one victory, new challenges appear around the bend—ready to grow you even more.

We also explored Professor Doug Villhard’s “The Problem Space.” Students learned that instead of adding features to solutions that already exist, true innovation begins with identifying a meaningful problem worth solving. An outrageously successful idea requires:
1. Solving a significant problem
2. In a growing market
3. With a founder who has personal familiarity
4. Using a recurring revenue model
5. And offering a unique, hard-to-replicate, scalable solution

Our students are diving deeper into idea development—armed with insight, inspiration, and the courage to ride the rapids ahead.
